SOOOOO!!!!!! I am typing this post from my new laptop Humphrey! So exciting. My parents finally coughed it up. This makes presents from graduation, birthday, Christmas, birthday, and this coming Christmas. I don't really think this is all that fair considering that Humphrey was not that expensive, but I don't care because I never want anything they give as gifts anyway so this is the best gift ever. This does not mean that I will be posting from home, but this does mean that I can type and then post it very quickly and I can do so in the moment that it happens rather than trying to catch up days later. I've very excited and you should be too.
Well...this weekend, I pushed work in both directions so that I was not taking a vacation but I actually had time off. After work on Thursday, I left immediately to go see an ex in Kirksville and just relax and have fun. Ten dollars worth of vodka tonics later (4 drinks in Kville currency) and a few shots, I was getting hit on by a different type of ex (one I didn't really want to rekindle anything with). I ended up getting invited back to his place, and, in my desperation, I went. Sorry Jason. It was not good. I was woken up in the morning by him placing my hand in a no-no place. It is my firm belief that in the morning you must ask permission. I quickly hightailed my way out of there and then had to go back for my sunglasses.
Thank god for Ted and Christy. They rescued my dirty body by allowing me to shower at their place. I was not going to shower at the ex-flings place and I desperately needed to shower. I got caught up with a lot of my Kville folks which felt nice. I missed a lot of those kids. Kville still holds a lot of people that I really care about.
I got my haircut. In the words of banker, "What did you do to your hair?" I did nothing to my hair. Bethany at the Clip Joint did everything to my hair. I like it a lot. It is really short and almost professional looking. I could almost be a lawyer or a respectable member of society. Everyone says that it makes me look younger. I don't think this is a great thing considering the fact that I look so young anyway. So now, I guess I look like I'm twelve.
I spent a lot of time with my parents shopping and eating. We went out with the girls who used to live next door. I spent most of the meal whispering into one of their ears all the naughty things I've done since I saw them last. I survived my father complaining and my mother bitching. It wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Happy Birthday to my Wife. I celebrated some this weekend and spent the night sleeping on her couch. Since I could not be there for her party on Monday, I celebrated early. We threw a party with alcohol in buckets. Thanks EM.
The whole reason for going to St. Louis was to attend the first of my friends getting married. Lizz, my roommate junior year, was tying the knot. It was a really pretty wedding. I want to get married like that. I spent not nearly enough time with Kempf who had to run back to Kville to get ready for another set of kids. I miss her.
Being out of St. Louis was such a refresher. But, I also came back more exhausted than when I left. Everything is all crazy and such in St. Louis. Don't even get me started...on this already long post. I will be posting about Tipsy Melon, moving out, and more chaos with ex's and my current lovelife. Look forward to a more steady flow of my life in blog form.
